Have you been waiting for just the right moment to implement electronic health records in your practice?   Are you expecting your solution to be paid for by others?

                                                     If so, please don't wait.

Healthcare Solutions for You, Today!

Today, you too can be one of the many successful practices reaping the benefits of an EHR, including

  • higher revenues through improved coding,
  • reduced staffing needs,
  • better response times for patient calls,
  • better documentation, and
  • new ways to handle time consuming tasks much more quickly,
  • getting you home earlier each day to enjoy more family or recreational time.

If you wait for funding, you are likely to get frustrated and miss out on numerous practice enhancement opportunities that you will never be able to recoup.

While none of the EHR's on the market are as easy to use as our buddy to the left finds eTrade, we do think you'll find many to be much easier to use than you might anticipate.  EncounterPRO, for example, helps you modernize your practice to your specifications - you don't have to conform to EncounterPRO's workflow - it is flexible enough to work like you want it to work - not vice versa.  Other products include an adaptive learning environment which allows you to "grow" your notes the more you use the product.  Some products are built to provide you and your fellow practitioners with only a way to chart - other products impact the flow of patients throughout your practice.

There are more than 300 available systems out there.  We know many of the products, but not all.  What we do know is the best way for you to evaluate the products, select the right one, and implement it successfully.  Much like the EMR itself, these services are not free, but they more than pay for themselves by way of your practice's rapid success.

With the passage of the recent stimulus package, we now have some funding incentives available for providers to purchase EHRs (as of early 2009, there are still less than 20% of providers in the US that use a fully-implemented electronic health record).  These dollars will only be available to Medicare and Medicaid practices initially, and will require the "meaningful use" of EHR technologies (primarily ePrescribing, health information exchange, and quality measures).  Hopefully similar funding will spread via other insurance carriers.  While we do hope that this funding will not require "jumping through hoops" to qualify, these funds are still several years off (2011 - 2015).  It will not serve your practice well to defer these decisions for another few years.  Your efforts would be enhanced to try to access locally available funds now,  begin the process of narrowing down your selection, choosing your solution, and starting your implementation, and then seeking reimbursement as you complete your implementation, which depending upon the size of your group, can take 3 months to 2 years or longer.
